never too late.

As I chose to rise early in the morning to attend the seminary morning side,
negative thoughts cluttered my mind.
I did not want to be awake, to say the least.
Got there, sat with Tanner, and waited for it to begin.
I wasn't a hundred percent sure why my brain was so adamant about going,
but I figured why not.
Bronco Mendenhall was the speaker, and sure enough didn't show up.
They filled him in with another coach, and he did a great job.
I learned a lot about being a leader, and how important it is to let our personal light shine.
Drawing nearer to 7:15, the door opened and Bronco Mendenhall walked in.
Normal clothes, and all.
They turned the time over to him, and he apologized for being late, explaining that he hadn't woken up to his alarm.
He went on to base his talk off of what his wife said to him once he woke up.
"It's not too late"
He explained that Jesus Christ came here to make our sins forgivable,
and that there can always be a change made.
Sometimes I feel so confused when it comes to religion, as I'm sure too many teenagers feel..
but I know one thing is for sure,
and that is how eternally grateful I will be that Bronco came.
Though his talk didn't exceed ten minutes, it was all I needed to hear.
That it is never too late to change your life.
You haven't done anything to prevent you from living with the spirit of God in your life.
As an answer to a pleading prayer came,
I knew I couldn't give up,
because it's not too late to change.
"I am the master of my fate, I am the captain of my soul"
