someone endured it for you.

here's a quote that I thoroughly enjoyed.

"Sometimes you look up and there just seems to be so many more stars than ever before. More. They burn brighter and they shine longer and they never vanish into your periphery when you turn your head. It's as if they come out for us and to remind us that their light took so long to come to us, that if we never had the patience to wait, we never would have seen them here, tonight, like this. That as much as it hurts, sometimes it's all you can do, wait, endure and keep shining knowing that eventually, your light will reach where it is supposed to reach and shine for who it is supposed to shine for. It is never easy, but it is always worth it."
 -tyler knott gregson.

In life we are asked to endure things that we will never understand the meaning to.
We tough out the hard things.
We push ourselves to new heights.
We do things for others that don't always deserve it.
We endure to the end, without the knowledge of why.

Without knowing why we are putting ourselves through it all.

But like the quote says;
"It's as if they come out for us and to remind us that their light took so long to come to us, that if we never had the patience to wait, we never would have seen them here, tonight, like this. That as much as it hurts, sometimes it's all you can do, wait, endure, and keep shining knowing that eventually, your light will reach where it is supposed to reach and shine for who it is supposed to shine for."

If you have the power within you to be the light for others, would you choose to be?
Would you choose to endure the hard times,
would you be patient,
would you wait, unknowing what you are doing it for.
would you keep shining knowing that EVENTUALLY your light will touch someone that needs it?

Are you willing to maybe sacrifice some of your own happiness, knowing in return you could give happiness to another?

I've decided that I'm willing to do that.
That at times I've needed the light of another, that things others have said and done for me have kept me planted on my own two feet.
It shouldn't ever be a choice you consider, leaving, or dimming your light because it gets to hard... because someone has pushed through the tough times, just for you.
